Be a Hero

Are you committed to building the nation’s organic recycling infrastructure?  Certification Heroes are 10 companies which “walk the talk” when it comes to promoting and exemplifying best practices of composting and organic recycling in their own company operations and customer culture.

Certification Heroes are the leaders and visionaries who celebrate the opportunity to align their corporate communications during the first two years of the CCOM™ Certification program.

There will be only 10 corporate sponsors and the financial commitment is only two years. The corporate logos and identification as Corporate Heroes will last well beyond those first two years.

Call it bragging rights.

Call it history-making corporate decisions.

Call it the beginning of a new conversation and a new relationship with the entire industry, their entire workforce and the thousands of communities they serve.

Professional certification is all about doing things right, the highest levels of competency and standards of excellence. Certification Heroes work directly with the Certification Commissioners to make big, bold statements about how their companies are making a difference when it comes to how they:

  • choose composting and recycling over disposal;
  • decide on paths that result in healthy soil, clean water and clear air;
  • serve as examples for other corporations to embrace.

As we add and honor each Certification Hero on this website, we will work directly with their corporate leadership team to create a featured page. This will be a full page for each Certification Hero. And it will tell each of their stories in a way that brings out the composting and organics recycling message to audiences eager to see that emphasis in their mission and performance.

If this is you, a champion in your own industry and respected for your composting and organic recycling support, and if you want to start a conversation with a Commissioners, start it here.

The mission of the USCC Certification Commission is to develop and administer national, valid, credible, vendor-neutral certification programs for organics recycling professionals which enhance the profession of organics recycling facility management and in turn benefit the community business and environmental outcomes. The initial development of the CCOM™ was by the Composting Council Research and Education Foundation thanks to a grant from the 11th Hour Project.
